MORE EVENTS GETTING UNDERWAY

The International Softball Federation (ISF) VII Jr. Men’s World Championship is still playing in Summerside, Prince Edward Island (Canada), having begun last Friday. The event concludes on Sunday. And, the VII European Men’s (fast pitch) Championship is still going on in the Netherlands (ends tomorrow).

Now, two more softball events are starting up.

Today in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, a Central American Men’s tournament is beginning, featuring Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and the host country. The three-day fast pitch event is being hosted by the National Softball Federation of Honduras.

Tomorrow, the 12th Canada Cup gets underway in Surrey, British Columbia. The 2005 edition of the annual event will feature teams from Australia, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, and USA.
