DATE CHANGED FOR PHOTO WINNERS

The International Softball Federation announced today that the winners of the BackSoftball photo contest will be revealed on December 8. This marks a change from the originally stated date of December 1.

Within the contest rules was a provision stating that “The ISF reserves the right to alter the timetable of the competition…”

On today's change, ISF Director of Communications Bruce Wawrzyniak stated, “This postponement has mostly been made due to the overwhelming response we had to the contest. A great number of entries were received from people in numerous countries, so the judges have their work cut out for them. Between gathering those individuals together and giving these entries the type of review process that they deserve, we didn’t want to rush this important phase of the contest just to meet December 1.”

Prizes will be awarded in six different categories (a first, second, and third place winner within each category) and there will be one overall winner who will earn a cash prize.

The contest was intended to bring together compelling imagery to support BackSoftball, the Olympic reinstatement campaign.
